&SocScience Location Erie, Pa Position Summary The College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at Gannon University invites applications for a 12-month tenure-track Associate Professor of Applied Intelligence and Program Director of Anti-Money Laundering to begin in July 2024.
The successful candidate will teach graduate courses in Anti-Money Laundering and undergraduate courses in Applied Intelligence, which may include Cyber Intelligence, National Security Intelligence, Risk Assessment, and Strategic Intelligence.
As the Executive Director of Cyber Intelligence Initiatives, the candidate will be responsible for facilitating communication and collaboration among the Applied Intelligence program, the Cybersecurity and Cyber Engineering programs, the Institute for Health and Cyber Knowledge (IHACK), and the Erie Technology Incubator (ETI).
Activities include student recruitment, development and revision of cyber-intelligence and anti-money laundering curricula, coordination of professional events, development of community and corporate partnerships, and collaboration with ETI to support entrepreneurs in the cybersecurity and intelligence industries.
The successful candidate will advise students and prepare them intellectually, professionally, and personally, and will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon.
Requirements include an earned doctorate in Intelligence or a related field, experience in the field of Intelligence, scholarly background commensurate with Associate Professor rank, and demonstrated teaching excellence in higher education.
Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
Candidates should be familiar with technology-supported learning pedagogy, be able to integrate technology into teaching, use software and techniques for real time data analyses, and be comfortable teaching face-to-face and online.
