The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the operation including; safety, quality, engagement, and overall performance to the companies aligned KPI's.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will have the leadership opportunity to coach, develop, motivate, and mentor an operational team.
This person will be a key leader within the operations team and will report up to Site Operations Manager.
The shift that this Supervisor will lead operates on 1st shift.
This position is located in Erie, PA.
This position will be responsible for managing and leading a team to execute the responsibilities as noted above.
Key Accountabilities
Leadership for all inbound operations within the warehouse.
Effectively manage Union associates.
(scheduling production floor work and assigning schedules)
Build team chemistry and develop associates for future roles in the business.
Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
Accountability for meeting Key Performance Indicators such as safety and OTD & Fill Rate.
Responsible for managing daily, weekly, monthly metrics and executing on counter measures.
Coordinate inventory control maintenance and random counts in accordance with network count strategies, ensuring compliance and consistency with SOX.
Build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Operation Manager to balance labor.
Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer expectations and ensure accuracy and quality.
ICQA teams to meet internal KPI’s and customer satisfaction targets related to quality.
Promote continuous improvement culture and lead process improvement initiatives and lean tools.
Work with the management team to improve employee engagement by initiating and/or facilitating team building events that also support our community.
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent - Bachelor's degree preferred
Excellent communication and people skills
Experience with Microsoft D365 system performing complex transactions a plus
Good writing/administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, Minitab, etc.
).
Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
Team oriented with the ability to influence others.
Work in a union environment and lead a team of union associates
