Primary responsibility to manage the daily operations of Water World including recruitment, hiring, training, and scheduling Seasonal Aquatics Personnel to provide a safe an enjoyable experience for our Guests.
*Job Functions:*
* Assist in recruiting and hiring seasonal Lifeguards, Lifeguard Instructors, and Slide Attendants.
* Meet or exceed aquatics guidelines set forth by the American Red Cross Training Programs and/or Model Aquatic Health Code.
* Coordinate training and continuing education of Lifeguards and Slide Attendants.
* Maintain and organize safety records for certification and training of Lifeguards and Slide Attendants.
* Maintain supply and inventory of safety and training equipment.
* Schedule Water World employees and oversee daily operations of the facility and personnel.
* Assist in responding to first aid and other emergencies.
* Assist in responding to Guest issues and feedback.
* Assist in daily operations of Water World, including water quality, cleanliness, and appearance of Water World.
* Assist with preseason setup and postseason takedown of Water World.
* Assist with general maintenance tasks during fall and winter season, as necessary.
*Basic Qualifications:*
* High School diploma or GED
* Experience in aquatics or aquatics management
* Leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills required
* Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Suite
* Must be able to clearly communicate, read and write in English
* Must have reliable, steady transportation to and from work
* Must be self-motivated to complete tasks and be able to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments
* Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Waldameer guidelines
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* College graduate
* 3 years’ experience in Aquatics
*Working Conditions:*
* April to September, must be able to work minimum of five (5), eight (8) hour days including weekends.
Specific schedule to be coordinated with management.
* September to March, must be able to work minimum of five (5), eight (8) hour days, Monday through Friday.
