*The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the total plant operation.
This includes responsibility for coordinating and controlling the production and operation processes and associated personnel, including the following departments: Production, Operations, Warehouse, Maintenance, Sanitation, Quality Control and Transportation, in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsible to the CEO for ensuring that each department is operating at peak efficiency to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
2.
Sets goals and objectives for each department that correlate to the corporate goals.
Directs and coordinates interdepartmental activities for goal achievement.
3.
Reviews and analyzes activities, expenses, operations and forecast data to determine each department’s progress towards stated goals and objectives.
4.
Confers with the CEO and other executive personnel to review achievements.
Makes recommendation for changes to either policies and procedures or to the goals and objectives in order to keep pace with changing market or labor conditions.
5.
Responsible for formulating and administering company policies—assuring each department’s compliance with corporate procedures including the enforcement of safety, quality control and personnel practices.
6.
Formally reviews the performance of all direct report managers and supervisors.
7.
Assists and guides management staff by becoming involved in diagnosing or resolving more complex problems.
Makes suggestions for corrective action and follows up to assure resolution.
8.
Keeps connected to labor force—conducts annual or semi-annual group meeting with plant personnel to provide information on company goals, achievements and expansion plans.
9.
Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with all department heads to discuss interdepartmental issues, projects, priorities, new business and changes in company policy and/or procedures.
10.
Conducts regular physical inspections of plant and property to ensure building and facility are being maintained properly.
Makes recommendations to executive staff about needed maintenance or improvements and contracts for approved services.
11.
Responsible for food and site security to include computers.
12.
Ensures new products, including packaging and labels and samples, are produced to spec.
13.
Represents the company to government agencies, suppliers, customers and the local community when necessary.
14.
Provides the executive staff with required reporting in a timely and efficient manner.
15.
Recommends or initiates personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, wage increases, job transfers, discharges and appropriate actions and/or performance improvement plans required as part of disciplinary action process with direct subordinates.
Provides input on other employees when necessary.
16.
Attends all meetings, training sessions, and/or seminars as required by management.
These can include both on-site and off-site events.
17.
Assists senior management by performing any or other tasks as assigned.
