Industrial Maintenance Supervisors are responsible to respond to line down calls, perform PM's, and work on other work orders as assigned by their supervisor.
Supervising mechanics direct the maintenance crew and evaluate their work in addition to completing their own projects.
Examples of some tasks performed include: Repair and replace AC and DC motors and gearboxes, ensure proper alignment and proper wiring by verifying direction; rebuild centrifugal and pneumatic pumps; repair and replace all types of conveying equipment, including wire belt; repair case coding equipment; rebuild and repair valves and cylinders; perform plumbing repairs, pipefitting, soldering and sweating of fittings; weld; general carpentry/building repairs; perform basic machining; diagnose and repair bearings, sprockets, shafts, gears, belts and chains.
A working knowledge of basic electrical as well as mechanical is required.
Mechanics must be available any day of the week, including weekends.
They must be available to work a 6 day work week on a regular basis.
