SUMMARY: The Front Office Manager oversees the Supervisors of all clerical staff, including OB/GYN Associates of Erie Peach and Myrtle Streets, Primary Care Associates of Erie Peach and Metro, Podiatric Surgical Associates of Erie, and Urgent Care Associates of Erie, with day to day operations for the Practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Manages the front office supervisors for all Practice locations.
Recruits, interviews, hires trains, and recommends termination of all front office positions.
Coordinates with HR all newly recommended candidates for positions.
Performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel assigned, including all performance evaluations.
Ensures proper training of personnel assigned.
Fills in at various offices if needed.
Responsible for ordering business supplies for all office locations.
Communicates with other managers and supervisors on employee or patient issues, protocols and overall managing of the front office and its relationship to other department processes.
Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully formed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
Attends monthly Supervisors meetings.
Listens and acts as mentor for departmental employees.
Accepts change and demonstrates flexibility and positive leadership.
Communicates effectively in personal and group settings.
Demonstrates creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
Handles complaints from patients/staff with regard to front office.
Consistently demonstrates internal and external quality customer service standards to all that request assistance, responding in a professional manner.
Other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES: Technical Capacity, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Problem Solving/Analysis, including ability to prioritize responsibilities Patient/Employee Focus Exercises judgment and makes decisions Project Management Communication Proficiency Teamwork Orientation Accuracy and attention to detail Organizational skills Customer Service SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position manages front office Supervisors for all locations and is responsible for leadership performance management and hiring of the employees within its department, ensuring all Practice rules and regulations are followed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full time position, 40 hours, 5 days per week.
TRAVEL: Travel is primarily locally during the business day.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A minimum of a high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent of education and experience.
Three years of supervisory experience mandatory.
Customer service experience a plus.
Athena EMR preferred, but not mandatory.
